Council Activities

 Business meetings are held once a month, on the 1st Wednesday of each month, at 7:30 p.m.. The second meeting of the month is normally a social meeting and is held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month (same time and place generally). Our council chambers are currently located in the St. Thomas the Apostle Community Center (behind the church) and is accessed from Montgomery Street.

  We're proud to boast that our council is very active in the parish community and we host a large number of council activities throughout the year.
 Monthly, we host a parish breakfast between the early and late Sunday Masses with all profits being deposited into the Br. Joseph Ghianda Scholarship Fund for dispersal each year to two to four graduating high school students being children and/or grandchildren of our council members.

 Annual activities include our Crab Feed and St. Patrick's Day Dinner, both of which are open to the public. We also have our annual Sweet Hearts Dinner, at which time the council picks up the dinner tab for our wives in appreciation for their unceasing support of our activities and at which time we also present our Knight of the Year, Family of the Year, and Past Grand Knights awards. In gratitude of the works our parish ladies do for the Church, we also host the Ladies Ministry Appreciation Luncheon in the Spring.

 Sprinkled liberally between the major social events, you can see us supporting our youth through Scouting and hosting the annual Free Throw Contest, participating in community events such as the Oroville Lighted Christmas Parade and the Tootsie Roll Drive for the mentally handicapped members of our local community. But it's not all fun and games, several times a year you may see us out on the church and school grounds doing yard work, building maintenance, painting, etc. Whatever needs doing we try to get done.
